Don't you hate it when this happens?

Out of a beauty girl's long list of fears (which includes shattering our favorite highlighter), leaving makeup stains on our clothes is definitely in our top five. But since it happens so often, we've picked up the best tricks for dealing with it along the way. And surprisingly, our favorite method involves neither running water nor a wet wipe. Keep reading for a quick tutorial!

For foundation stains, we prefer using micellar water. This is because it's already made to remove makeup, meaning it's bound to be more effective than regular water. Plus, it's less messy to use than if you were to run the collar by the sink. Wet wipes can hardly compare as well, since most don't have the right ingredients to remove the stain effectively.

That said, here's our quick guide for destaining your clothes!

What You'll Need:

Cotton pads - Unlike tissue paper, cotton pads tend to be sturdier. And when you're doing some serious rubbing, you'll need something that can hold up until the job is done.

Procedure:

1. Soak the cotton pad with micellar water.

2. Gently rub the wet cotton pad over the stain until it disappears.

3. Set it aside and leave to dry.

Ta-da! No foundation in sight. The spot might need a few minutes to dry so be patient! Also, do take note that this trick is only for new stains and might not work as seamlessly with some fabrics like knits and rayon. It's still worth a try for emergencies, though!
