Your decade-inspired beauty looks shouldn't be reserved for Halloween. If you want to rock a look from the '40s at work, why not? Marilyn Monroe-inspired makeup on a Monday is a guaranteed conversation starter, but make sure you shake things up a bit by wearing current trends! Here's some inspo from Bea Alonzo, who stunned in a dark lip in her Benchmark cover:
Here, makeup artist Gery Penaso channeled Old Hollywood glamour on the actress. While it retained the vintage look's signature winged liner, Gery managed to update it with a few tweaks. First, he skipped the pencil-thin arches and opted for brushed, feathered brows. Then, instead of going old school with a bright red lip, he swiped a sultry purple shade on Bea's pout. Stila's Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Amore (P1250, Rustan's Makati), to be exact. Gery also gave her a stunningly sharp cheek contour on the hollows, and in the true spirit of Old Hollywood, he finished the look with a Marilyn-esque mole above the actress' lip. Nailed it!
