Celebrity break-ups are never easy—especially those between a star and her dermatologist. But luckily, the smoke can clear and reconciliations are possible. So has been the case between Kris Aquino and Dr. Vicky Belo. After a well-publicized falling out a few years back, Kris has once again joined Belo bandwagon and is in her own words is, “back with the best.” A homecoming of sorts, Kris shared that one of the advantages of the Belo Medical Group is its accessibility, with nine clinics stationed around Metro Manila.

When asked about the first procedures she underwent upon returning the Belo clinic, she cited Cosmelan as one of her top services. Meant to prevent and improve skin imperfections such as hyperpigmentation, Kris shared, that brown spots were reduced by 50% with one treatment alone. Dr. Belo explained that the beauty of the procedure is in its natural ingredients, “Cosmelan is all anti-oxidants, all vitamin c, licorice, so there's no chemicals at all.” Although it comes at a hefty price tag of P30,000 for the in-house treatment or P15,000 for the home kit, it is good for an entire year. Compared to Obagi, another skincare line, Dr. Vicky explains that the biggest advantage of Cosmelan is that it is a one step system compared to the multi-step regimen of the former.

Another favorite of Kris are Belo’s herbal supplements which are targeted toward weight loss. At P3,500 per pack, the actress shared that the pills “don’t kill your tastebuds but it give you a feeling of fullness.” Dr. Belo adds, “It's something to help you lose your appetite, something to burn the calories and fill up your stomach. That's why it's better if you couple it with exercise because the number of calories you burn when you exercise doubles.”
