It was a whirlwind of a year for celebrity tresses.

It's been a whirlwind of a year for celebrity tresses. Just in 2018, we've witnessed everything from subtle snips to complete overhauls that instantly broke the internet. So as the year comes to a close, we're rounding up the hair transformations that made the past 12 months all the more memorable:

1. Sue Ramirez's Pixie Cut

It's rare to see a young star like Sue undergo such a major look change, but that's exactly what made her pixie cut the best way to go.

2. Bela Padilla's Micro Bangs

Always up for something new, Bela Padilla ditched another inch of her fringe to sport micro bangs. Needless to say, she rocked the look so well that many more followed suit.

3. Nadine Lustre's Ash Blonde

Just when we thought we'd never see Nadine blonde, she surprises us by going full ash. While she's now back to her original color, knowing she isn't afraid to experiment with bold hues has us keeping our eyes peeled for her next dye job.

4. Pia Wurtzbach's J.Lo Moment

Many of us almost didn't recognize Pia Wurtzbach at the first ABS-CBN Ball. The beauty queen showed up in head to toe gold—her hair included. Granted they weren't her real tresses, it's a moment that'll go down in the event's beauty history.

5. Janine Gutierrez's Pastel Hair

Speaking of wigs, another faux hair moment worth mentioning is Janine in pastel locks for #TheFutureIsPreview. Doesn't it look like her real hair?

6. Arci Muñoz's Two-Toned Color

Out of all the dye jobs Arci has done throughout the years, her take on a two-toned look is by far one of her best. She even went on to have the other side colored blue later!

7. Kim Jones' Journey to Ice Blonde

Kim has gone through multiple stages with her hair in 2018, each one more unexpected than the other. From a textured Mia Wallace bob, she slowly transitioned to an icy blonde blunt bob that doesn't just make for good alliteration.

8. Maine Mendoza's French Girl Fringe

If you think the Manila heat is an excuse not to get yourself a fringe, then Maine Mendoza is here to prove you wrong. The Eat Bulaga host is out and about almost every day and she still made the chop!

9. Bea Alonzo's Baby Bob

Instead of wearing a faux bob to shoot her new movie, Bea jumped the gun and chopped it all off. It's probably one of her shortest haircuts yet, and we love how she stuck to it for the rest of the year!

10. Alessandra de Rossi's Buzzcut

Alessandra de Rossi shaved off all her hair for her film Through Night and Day, a fact she tried to hide on Instagram by wearing wigs before the official premiere. Talk about commitment!

11. Jodi Sta. Maria's Blonde Ambition

Jodi never fails to stun on the red carpet, but this year at the ABS-CBN Ball, it wasn't just her outfit that made a lasting impression. The actress debuted an entirely new cut and color we haven't seen on her before. Another blonde bob for the books!

12. Toni Gonzaga's Pouf

It was definitely the year for short hair, although no one really pulled off the high-volume bob like Toni did. She made us want to get daily blowdry sessions all year, because who doesn't want a pouf that pretty?

13. Isabelle Daza's '90s Pixie

As always, Isabelle Daza never fails to nail a party dress code. For a '90s-themed party hosted by Anne Curtis, she didn't just come in the decade's signature attire—she walked in with a faux pixie cut, too.
